Call to Action: Help Identify the John Doe Found in Houston, Texas on January 10, 2022

On January 10, 2022, an unidentified man (John Doe) was found deceased in Houston, Texas. Nearly four weeks earlier, on December 13, 2021, a man named Alejandro Gonzales Martines was arrested in the same city. Since that arrest, he has not been seen or heard from again.

We are strongly convinced that these two individuals are the same person.

This match had already been suggested by online investigators in early 2022, shortly after the discovery of John Doe. At that time, authorities declined to pursue a comparison — citing that Alejandro had not officially been reported missing.

More recently, the Meyer Institute for Truth and Justice conducted an independent facial comparison between booking photo of Mr. Martines and the postmortem image of John Doe. The results are compelling. Multiple physical identifiers align with precision, including:

  • several identically placed moles on the face,

  • the shape of the nose,

  • and the distinct contour of the right earlobe.

These features are clearly marked in the side-by-side image provided below. This is not a vague resemblance — it is a highly specific and consistent match.

We submitted this information to the appropriate authorities more than six weeks ago and were informed that they would follow up. However, since then we have received no further updates, despite multiple follow-up attempts.

We are now issuing a public appeal to the Harris County Medical Examiner’s Office, the Houston Police Department, and other relevant agencies:
Please conduct or complete a DNA comparison to confirm or exclude this identification.

This young man may have family members who are still looking for him. They deserve clarity.
And the unidentified man found in Houston deserves to be known by his real name.

If you are affiliated with any agency involved in this case, we urge you to act.
If you are a journalist, researcher, or advocate, we welcome your support in bringing attention to this matter.
